Product Description
Ethylene dichloride (EDC) is a colorless to yellowish liquid with a faint chloroform-type odour. EDC is used primarily in the production of vinyl chloride monomer (VCM).Arvand Company’s EDC is produced by oxychlorina-tion and direct chlorination of ethylene at our petrochemical complex located in Iran.
Application
Production of vinyl chloride monomer (VCM), construction-related applications, with pipe, flooring, packaging film and sheet, and bottles.
Handling and Storage
Arvand Company recommends that prior to installing EDC storage facilities, you contact all concerned local government agencies, i.e., fire department, health department, environmental quality, etc. Local requirements may vary and any EDC installation should meet the standards of these agencies.
The current manufacturing technology of Aniline is based on the Hyrdogeneration of Nitrobenzene.
Application areas
Aniline is used to manufacture:
Aniline has various uses – it is used to prepare other chemical substances to make polymers, and as we mentioned earlier, it is used in the dye industry as well. In this section, we will learn all about the uses of aniline.
- Aniline is predominantly used as a chemical intermediate for the dye industries.
- Aniline is predominantly used as agricultural industries.
- Aniline is predominantly used as rubber industries.
- Aniline is predominantly used as polymer industries.
- Aniline is predominantly used as a solvent, and has been used as an antiknock compound for gasolines
Licensor: Chematur Engineering (CEAB), Sweden.
Handling and storage conditions
Prior to working with Aniline you should be trained on its proper handling and storage.
Aniline reacts violently with oxidizing agents (such as Perchlorates, Peroxides, Permanganates, Chlorates, Ni-trates, Chlorine, Bromine and Fluorine) and strong acids (such as Hydrochloric, Sulfuric and Nitric) and may cause fires and explosions. Aniline is not compatible with Acetic Anhydride; Chlorosulfonic Acid; Strong Acids (such as Hydrochloric, Sulfuric and Nitric); Alkalies (such as Metal Hydroxides and Metal Carbonates); strong bases (such as Sodium hydroxide and Potassium Hydroxide); and Toluene Diisocyanates.
Store in tightly closed containers in a cool, well-ventilated area away from air, light and copper.
Sources of ignition, such as smoking and open flames, are prohibited where Aniline is used, handled, or stored in a manner that could create a potential fire or explosion hazard. Aniline attacks rubber, plastic, and coatings.
Packing details
In 220 lit (200 kg Net.) new steel drum, each 4 drums strapped on a wooden pallet.
Hydrochloric acid is a solution of hydrogen chloride (HCI) in water, that is a highly corrosive, strong mineral acid with many industrial uses.
Application areas
Acidizing of petroleum wells, Demineralizers and resin regeneration, Dye manufacturing, Cleaning products, Ore reduction, Gelatin, Pickling and metal surface cleaning, Synthetic rubber, Water treatment, Pharmaceuticals, Food processing, Manufacture of chemical intermediates, Industrial acidizing, Plastics and polymers, Rigid,
“pour-in-place” foams-for use in appliances, and, in smaller amounts, packaging, Urethane sealants- used in construction applications, Cast elastomers-for production of articles such as roller blade wheels.
Licensor: Chematur
Handling and storage conditions
Hydrochloric acid is a corrosive product. In contact with some metals, it releases hydrogen (flammable). Hydro-chloric acid is currently stored in lined steel or certain types of plastic materials:
Lined steel: Vinyl ester, epoxy or ebonite are suitable liners.
Plastics: Plastic tanks may be used if the supplier specifications are strictly followed.
Packing details
Bulk, In Road tankers.
Nitrobenzene does not occur naturally in the environment. It is produced industrially by reacting benzene with sulphuric acid, nitric acid and water.
